| Fox News - Latest Headlines | | | | Stephen Miller calls for 'accountability' of FBI, DOJ if Republicans retake Congress | | Sep 15, 2022 | | Former senior adviser to President Trump, Stephen Miller blasted the FBI and DOJ, labeling them an "instrument" of the Democrat Party on Wednesday's "Hannity." STEPHEN MILLER: The Department of Justice, the FBI, federal law enforcement has become an instrument of the Democrat Party. It has become a tool and extension of partisan Democrat politics to put innocent Republicans in jail, to raid their homes, to steal their property, to target them and their families while Democrats are immunized, shielded, protected. Again, as you mentioned, where's the raid on Hunter and Joe? Where's the raid on Hillary and all of her aides who destroyed all of that property, who smashed up the phones, who erased the emails, as well as the law firm that was involved in the destruction of her records so they cannot be handed over to federal investigators. Right. Where is the raid on the homes of the FBI agents who were involved in the Russian collusion hoax from the very beginning and who knew it was false as they were paying for that false information … They lied to the FISA court. This is what we have in America. And for the love of God, if Republicans get control of Congress, there must be accountability. We need a Department of Justice that goes after the murderers, the drug cartels, the criminals that are laying waste to our cities instead of going after Republicans, conservatives and Donald Trump. DURHAM MOVES TO ADMIT EVIDENCE IN DANCHENKO TRIAL THAT MAY DISCREDIT TRUMP RITZ-CARLTON MOSCOW ALLEGATIONS WATCH THE FULL SEGMENT BELOW: | | | | | Inflation 'loves Biden like the Devil loves sin': Sen. John Kennedy | | Sep 15, 2022 | | President Biden can't seem to separate himself from rampant inflation, as he continues to put forward policies that only increase the financial pinch on everyday Americans, Senate Judiciary Committee member John N. Kennedy told Fox News on Wednesday. Biden visited the Detroit Auto Show to push toward electric cars – while at one point being asked what he thought of the $63,000 electric-powered Buick Lyriq he had been sitting in. In response, Biden appeared to suggest he still liked the internal-combustion Chevrolet Corvette he was seated in prior: "It’s a beautiful car," he said, "but I love the Corvette." DEMOCRATS DECRYING ‘DANGEROUS’ MAGA REPUBLICANS AREN'T ACTING LIKE IT AS ANOTHER DEM-ASSISTED TRUMPIAN WINS PRIMARY On "Hannity," Kennedy, R-La., pointed out a potential flaw in Biden's push for electric cars: "If electric vehicles are so swell, why does government have to pay people to drive them? Food for thought," Kennedy said. In regard to inflation and the James Taylor-accentuated celebration at the White House earlier in the week, Kennedy quipped that the economic indicator was created by the incumbent president: "Inflation was made in Washington since President Biden was inaugurated 540 days ago. Prices are up 13.2%." Kennedy went on to point out that $1 in January 2021 dollars now has the estimated purchasing power of 87-cents of that same inflation-unadjusted dollar. WHITE HOUSE PRESSED ON RELATIONSHIP WITH CHINA AFTER US LAND PURCHASES "So what is President Biden doing about it? … Well, the president has decided to drink himself sober first. He passed a $750 billion so-called Inflation Reduction Act, which takes $300 billion and higher taxes out of the pockets of the American people," he said. "When the economy is slowing, prices are rising. And 401 K's are crashing. And he gives up $300 billion of taxpayer money to the Green New Deal industrial complex." Kennedy concluded that Biden indeed has a very close relationship with dire economic circumstances: "President Biden is inflation's best friend. Inflation loves president – bad – Inflation loves President Biden like the Devil loves sin," he said. "And I don't see where they've done anything whatsoever except sing folk songs to try to stop it ravaging the American people," he quipped, appearing to reference Taylor. RUBIO RIFFS ON BIDEN'S INFLATION CELEBRATION: ‘I'M EMBARRASSED FOR JAMES TAYLOR' Earlier, Hannity pointed out Biden's inflation crisis is about to be compounded by a nationwide railroad strike, if talks fall apart before Friday. Amtrak, long lauded by Biden and once where Hunter Biden served a term as board member, announced most of their national network would be restricting service – as they do not own or dispatch most track miles generally south and west of Washington, D.C. While ACELA service along the Northeast Corridor and New England routes will be largely unaffected, lines like the popular Silver Meteor between Miami and New York, the Empire Builder from Chicago to the Pacific Northwest, and City of New Orleans from Chicago to New Orleans are expected to be heavily restricted or shuttered until the strike passes. CLICK TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP The passenger railroad's lucrative daily Auto Train service – between Orlando and Washington – is also affected. "Amtrak Joe, do you care to comment?" Hannity asked, warning a railroad shutdown will cripple an already tenuous supply chain and cause everyday prices to soar. In a statement to passengers, Amtrak said that while negotiations do not involve the passenger railroad or its workforce, "many of our trains operate over freight railroad tracks." "Because the parties have not yet reached a resolution, Amtrak has begun to make initial service adjustments in response to a possible freight railroad service interruption that could occur later this week." | | | | | Pro-life activist Lila Rose recounts clash with 'Dr. Phil' audience member | | Sep 15, 2022 | | Pro-life activist Lila Rose spoke out Wednesday on "Tucker Carlson Tonight" on her recent appearance on "Dr. Phil" where audience member attempted to shout her down. LILA ROSE: I’m fighting and we’re fighting for something really beautiful, that's human lives. What’s there to be worked up over? It’s the evil of abortion. But at the end of the day, the truth sets people free. When we are equipped with the truth to share that, that's why I went on "Dr. Phil," sharing facts about scientific development of human life in the womb, facts about the evil of abortion. The facts speak for themselves. It’s a powerful message that I’m privileged to get to share. PRO-LIFE ACTIVIST CLASHES WITH DR. We’re actually about to launch "Can’t Stay Silent," which is a white paper but also a series of many videos, testimonies of women, who have had abortions, and had the courage afterward to speak out about how devastating abortion was for them. The metadata proves there are serious mental health risks for women who have abortions afterwards. In the year after having an abortion, 150% were more likely to commit suicide. During a court appearance by Hadi Matar, Chautauqua County District Attorney Jason Schmidt requested a protection order be placed for the witnesses and asked for an additional 70 days to present evidence to the defense, the Jamestown Post-Journal reported. He said the request stems from his office receiving more than 30,000 files of evidence from law enforcement agencies, the Erie Times-news reported. BILL MAHER REACTS TO SALMAN RUSHDIE ATTACK: DON'T COME AT ME WITH 'ISLAMOPHOBIC' TO SHUT OFF ISLAM DEBATE "We total it to be 90 days from the arraignment," Schmidt said following a hearing Wednesday at Chautauqua County Court, the newspaper reported. "We are required by statute to declare trial readiness by 90 days, otherwise a defendant can be discharged from the county jail." Fox News has reached out to the district attorney's office and the county public defender. Matar, who has pleaded not guilty, allegedly attacked Rushdie during an Aug. 12 lecture at the Chautauqua Institution education center. Schmidt reportedly noted that Matar may have been motivated by a $3 million bounty placed on Rushdie by the late Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini of Iran. The fatwa was issued after Rushdie authored "The Satanic Verses," a book banned in Iran since 1988 and is considered blasphemous by some Muslims. "There’s nothing that’s been provided to us to show that the Iranian government is actively supporting the attack on any supporters of Mr. Rushdie who may come forward to testify," Matar's public defender Nathaniel Barone said during his opposition to Schmidt's motion, according to the Post-Journal. Iran has denied any responsibility for the attack against Rushdie. A court hearing has been scheduled for Friday over the matter. | | | | | Chicago reporter sues Mayor Lori Lightfoot for revoking press credentials: 'Chilling effect on all reporters' | | Sep 15, 2022 | | A Chicago reporter who filed a federal lawsuit against Democratic Mayor Lori Lightfoot for revoking his press credentials accused the city of trying to silence him after a series of contentious exchanges with the mayor's office where he repeatedly questioned her "failures in performance." The suit, filed by journalist William J. Kelly in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in late August, alleges Lightfoot and Chicago Police Department Superintendent David Brown violated his First Amendment and Fourteenth Amendment rights, saying, "They have done this for the most cynical and contemptible reason that can be imagined, to prevent Lightfoot from being questioned about their failures in the performance of the public offices they currently occupy." In an interview on "Tucker Carlson Tonight" Wednesday, Kelly called the suit "a textbook First Amendment case." "Unfortunately, the textbook is from Venezuela," he added. REPORTER TO CHICAGO'S LIGHTFOOT: HOW CAN YOU ‘POSSIBLY EVEN CONSIDER’ RE-ELECTION AFTER ‘HARM YOU’VE CAUSED' The contributing reporter for the Daily Mail said he has used his platform to hold Lightfoot accountable for her "dismal performance" in office through honest reporting and pointed questions during press conferences. But with Lightfoot facing re-election and criticism mounting over her leadership, the mayor is doing everything in her power to keep him out of the room, he said. "I believe that journalism is extremely important," Kelly told Tucker Carlson. "I’ve had a media credential in Chicago for over 10 years. Emmy award-winning. Print, radio, TV, but Mayor Lightfoot is the least transparent mayor in our city’s history, and sadly, for better or for worse, the reason my questions were so effective, is because I was asking the questions that real Chicagoans wanted to hear. But they were hurting her re-election campaign so she canceled by media credential." In the suit, Kelly alleged that upon Lightfoot's instruction, Brown "directed a police officer assigned to Lightfoot’s seventy officer strong security force to fabricate a report that Kelly had bumped into him on July 19, 2022. Brown then used this false report as a pretext to revoke Kelly’s press credentials on August 8, 2022." CHICAGO MAYOR LIGHTFOOT DENOUNCES ‘TOXICITY IN PUBLIC DISCOURSE’ DAYS AFTER SHOUTING ‘F--- CLARENCE THOMAS!’ "In fact, the entire episode where this bump was falsely alleged to have taken place was videotaped by Kelly and this video shows no such bump took place," the suit reads. A recording from Kelly of the July 19 incident shows him following Lightfoot after she avoided taking his question at a press conference and being physically blocked by her personnel. The footage, which was previously shared by The Daily Caller, includes Kelly repeatedly shouting "Don't touch me" to her personnel, who immediately denied he touched the journalist. Kelly noted that the incident came just one day after a combative exchange at a separate press conference where he grilled Lightfoot about her "taxpayer-funded business trip" to Paris "with your donors" as crime continued to plague Chicago. "I think the real scandal here is that Mayor Lightfoot has 80-plus security guards that are assigned to protect her from me asking real questions during a re-election campaign at the time when the Chicago police are down 1,500 officers, crime is out of control, there’s a record low arrests and a spike in police suicides," Kelly said. The revocation of his credentials "has a chilling effect on all reporters," Kelly said. "They see that I asked real questions, and got my credential revoked, canceled I guess would be a better word. I grew up in Chicago watching legendary reporters…chasing politicians up and down the street…and this is the tradition I want to uphold," he said. "This is the Chicago reporter tradition that Lightfoot wants to cancel. "It’s my prayer that a federal judge will restore my media credential tomorrow, so I can go back to Chicago City Hall," Kelly added. | | | | | SEAN HANNITY: The Inflation Reduction Act is just making inflation worse | | Sep 15, 2022 | | Sean Hannity discusses how the Inflation Reduction Act will not decrease inflation and heavily impact the middle class despite Democrats celebrating otherwise on "Hannity." SEAN HANNITY: THE MIDTERMS CAN'T COME FAST ENOUGH SEAN HANNITY: We are only 55 short days away from these pivotal midterm elections, and Democrats have lost all touch with reality. Now, yesterday we showed you the new devastating economic numbers. Inflation went up. Core inflation went up. Food, rent, energy all way up. The stock market, meanwhile, plummeted. It tanked. It dropped significantly, the biggest drop since the height of the pandemic. Now this. But one month after the Democrats passed their so-called Inflation Reduction Act, or, as I call it, the tax, the poor, middle class and people on fixed income Act of 2022. It doesn't actually do anything to reduce inflation. It will increase inflation. It is just a massive Green New Deal spending bill that, as predicted, is making inflation far worse, making everything more expensive than ever. There's Mayor Pete right there that has been unable to hammer out a deal with America's railroad unions. So now, in the wake of a looming strike, many train lines are getting shut down and our supply chain problems are about to get that much worse. Even certain Amtrak routes have already been put on pause indefinitely. Joe. Amtrak. Joe. Do you care to comment? So naturally, none of this stopped the White House from doing a massive celebration, complete with the smiling and the fist bumps and the laughing and the patting on the back with Nancy Pelosi. Greg Abbott's office is calling out Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot and Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker after busses of migrants were sent into suburban towns from the Windy City. Over 100 migrants who arrived in Chicago after being bussed from Texas on Sept. 7 were then transported out of the city and into neighboring suburbs — but the mayors of several towns received little to no notice that the migrants would be arriving. Elk Grove Village Mayor Craig Johnson told Fox News Digital in an interview that he received a call from Pritzker's office on Sept. 9 informing him that a "migrant bus" was being sent to his town that very same evening, but was provided with no further details. When Johnson pressed for information, such as the number of migrants coming, what hotel they are being sent to, if they have gone through health screenings, or if they had gone through background checks, he got no answer. ILLINOIS MAYOR SAYS GOV. PRITZKER OWES HIS COMMUNITY AN 'APOLOGY' FOR SENDING 90 MIGRANTS WITH LITTLE NOTICE It wasn't until a later call that federal officials told Johnson that the migrants went through health screenings and background checks. After a delay from the governor's office, according to Johnson, 90 migrants showed up on Sept. 10, at the La Quinta Hotel. Burr Ridge Mayor Gary Grasso, a Republican, said that no state or City of Chicago officials contacted him about a bus of 64 migrants that showed up in his town at a Hampton Inn after initially arriving in Chicago. Renae Eze, press secretary for Abbott, told Fox News Digital that Lightfoot and Pritzker are "absolute hypocrites." "So much for Chicago’s ‘Welcoming City Ordinance.’ These Democrat elites are absolute hypocrites, and now their hypocrisy is on full display for the entire nation. Governor Pritzker and Mayor Lightfoot have been complaining about a few hundred migrants being bused into self-declared sanctuary city Chicago, then turn around and dump them in the suburbs for Republican mayors to deal with. Instead of complaining about fulfilling their ‘welcoming city’ promises, these Democrat hypocrites should call on President Biden to do his job and secure the border—something the President continues failing to do," she said. ILLINOIS OFFICIALS SEND 90 MIGRANTS TO ANOTHER SUBURBAN CHICAGO TOWN WITH LITTLE NOTICE Responding to complaints from Grasso of receiving no notice of the migrants arrival, Jordan Abudayyeh, press secretary for Pritzker, told WGN that it's interesting local officials are complaining about the issue of migrants being bussed to suburbs. "The state is working with our partners at the City of Chicago and Cook County along with advocacy organizations to welcome those seeking asylum in the United States and provide them stability as they work to build a new life in Illinois. The state has a prior relationship with the hotel being used in the suburbs and their staff has done amazing work welcoming refugees and asylum seekers before, so it is interesting that local officials are choosing this specific instance to gripe to the press about this specific group of asylum seekers that consists of about 30 families. Gov. Pritzker has made it clear that Illinois is [a] welcoming state and xenophobia has no home here," Abudayyeh said. Johnson called the governor's response "wrong," adding that he "owes our community an apology." "We don't play those petty games. But to insult us, that we're either being racist or we're being uncaring. That is insulting," Johnson said. "The governor owes our community an apology, and I'll be waiting to hear that." Republican National Committee spokesperson Preya Samsundar also criticized both Lightfoot and Pritzker, and called on them to end their sanctuary city policies. "After years of supporting Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’ open borders agenda, Lori Lightfoot and J.B. Pritzker are crying foul because they’re now forced to deal with the very issues they’ve shoved on southern border states. We welcome Lightfoot and Pritzker to end their sanctuary city policies and join Republicans in the fight to secure the border," Samsundar said. | | | | | |
